Four Wheel Drive System

Service Description

Four-wheel drive systems require simultaneous spinning of all four wheels in one vehicle. Both 4WD vehicles have a transfer case that prevents the axles from rotating at varying speeds between the front and rear axles. The transfer case allows the engine to provide the axle and wheels with the necessary torque to keep traction moving. There are different 4WD models, and each model uses various technologies to meet the driver’s needs. Some 4WD systems have differential locking. This implies that both wheels on the axle turn together in order to achieve optimum traction. The limit-slip differential is another example. In one wheel, it can detect a slide or slip and send torque to the other wheel to regain traction. A manual hub enables users to manually turn on the front wheel drive mechanism to completely turn on the 4WD system, while an automatic hub allows users to adjust the front wheels automatically to switch on the 4WD system. Our support members have considerable experience working on all forms of 4WD systems.
